d line collaborates with a carefully curated group of architects and designers who share our uncompromising, ambitious and quality-conscious approach to design.
Since 1960, Arne Jacobsen's classic door handle, the AJ Lever, has adorned the world's homes and his apprentice, Knud Holscher, is the originator of the d line aesthetic as it still stands today. In 1971, Holscher designed the company's first collection, which embodied the characteristics of modesty, honesty and durability.
Since then, the contemporary architect Bjarke Ingels has launched a series of products with us through his studio Bjarke Ingels Group, which emphasise his innovative, socially-driven visions for the future of the home. More recently, British designer Tom Dixon has created a collection for us that brings a wholly fresh interpretation of hardware to our minimalist aesthetic.
This special mix of Danish and international designers creates collections that, through their own unique interpretations, unite quality, aesthetics and craftsmanship – true to d line's core design heritage and heart.
